London Underground

This painting was inspired by a number of small sketches made riding on the underground, during my year study at the Prince’s Drawing School. I wanted to express the faceless characters we encounter on a journey. The crowds are sometimes overwhelming but then you get this sudden sense of piece as the train pulls away, for it all to start over.
